There are no witches in Salem
Salem is a name steeped in fear, fiction, and folklore — a place where hysteria wore the mask of justice, and where art now picks at the threads of that tangled history.
There Are No Witches in Salem brings together eight artists working across printmaking, drawing and photography to explore myth, identity, repression, resistance, and the stories that shape — and sometimes shackle — us. These works don’t just reflect the past; they reframe it, question it, and draw lines between then and now.
In a time when truth and illusion are once again blurred, this exhibition is a quiet incantation, a collective spell of remembrance and reckoning.
The artists featured bring distinct voices, yet are bound by an urge to confront what lies beneath the surface — to look for meaning where others only saw monsters.
These artworks are all limited edition and were created by the artists for this pop-up exhibition.
