The Invisible Man

R1,000.00

I went through a stage a short while ago where I watched quite a few old-timey horror films. Frankenstein, Dracula, The Invisible Man. They’re great, it astounds me looking at what we have accessible today, that we could make films like these with tools far simpler than we have now.

I had a thought to reproduce some of our characters as lino prints because, well, why not?

The first victim was The Invisible Man. The goal was to remove as little lino as possible and still show a character that makes sense. Illustrating him through a haze of cigarette smoke – something fleeting and opaque – made complete sense.
