Moonbloom is a series born of shadow and quiet light—an offering to the unseen forces that shape us, and a love letter to the strength found in stillness, in softness, in silence. Each piece is a phase in a personal mythology, drawn from dreams, memory, and the natural world. At its heart, it is the story of a woman who blooms in the dark.
The Datura—delicate, dangerous, and healing—appears again and again, facing downward like the blooms in my own garden. They hold a whispered invocation across the petals: I belong to the night sky. I trust the unseen. I rise with the silence. I bloom in the dark. It is a message offered in full view if you know how to find it, but meant to be read with the soul.
Beneath the paper, hidden from the eye, another mantra rests on the back of the print—etched by hand, seen only by those who turn the work around and look closer:
“I see you. I carry you. I honor the weight of silent lives. In darkness, I bloom. In silence, I roar.”
The owl—my lifelong guardian—flies between the works, her wings casting protection, her gaze unflinching. In one dream, I could not be touched by magic, not even a death spell. I was told it was because I had no substance. But I know now: I could not be touched because I was made of something more. I was made of light that does not beg to be seen.
Layered across glowing moons, shimmered blossoms, and ghosted words, Moonbloom invites the viewer to listen for what cannot be said aloud. To feel the weight of invisible things. To honor the parts of themselves that bloom in silence.
This is not just a body of work.
It is a constellation.
It is a night garden.
It is a spell that did not break.
